Wade + Kristin | Texas Wedding

It’s that look that I love at weddings.  It’s the tears that form in my eyes while I’m trying to photograph that perfect moment.  This all happened at this wedding.  Don’t worry I’ve become a pro at shooting through tears.  I love the look of love.  The look that means I’ll be here for however long forever is.  Kristin and Wade have that look.  They adore each other, and it’s easy to be around people that love each other.  The wedding was sweet and to the point, just the way they like it.  I could write on this for hours, but the fact that the pictures pretty much show the look I mean, you can see for yourself. :) blog81blog91blog51blog41blog121blog101blog71blog61blog111

Yama Yoga Studio

Here is my suggestion for this Thursday.  Go do yoga!  Lately I’ve been obsessed with yoga.  Back in April my friend Payton and I started doing P90X together.  On the DVDs there is a yoga portion.  I fell IN LOVE!  We however, didn’t finish our P90X, but how lucky did we get that there is a yoga studio in town now.

When Summer from Yama Yoga Studio (www.yamayoga.info) contacted us about taking pictures I was super excited.  Our primary business is weddings, but I love getting to be creative in different ways, and this was for sure something different and awesome.  If you are in the Canton area go check out Yama Yoga!  blog14

Alabama, Gnats, Mike + Amanda

Taking a trip anywhere is my dream.  I LOVE to travel.  I feel good when I’m moving around.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I love staying at home with my Molly and Bess, but I’m also fond of living out of my suitcase.

I’m behind on blogging so I’m playing catch up.  This is Mike & Amanda.  Amanda and Kody have been friends for a while.  Kody’s family owns a tractor business, and for a while he worked there.  While he worked there he met Amanda.  Amanda is wonderful.  She is one of the nicest people I’ve met.  She is always so considerate and kind.  Back in 2006 we actually went on a business trip to Vegas and Amanda was there also.  Fast forward a couple years and we are in Alabama shooting her wedding!

Mike is perfect for Amanda.  He calms her, and makes her feel comfortable.  What girl doesn’t want to feel that way. Not only does he do those things, but he loves her little girl Tanner just as much as he loves her.  Perfection.

It was such a pleasure and honor to go to Alabama to shoot this wedding.  Minus all the gnats of course. Ha! A guest at the wedding told me, “This is the type of weather that you wear in Alabama!” I thought that was classic.  Humidity and gnats can be awful, unless of course you are at a wedding with such wonderful people…then that all fades away.blog7blog9blog4blog13blog3blog2blog6blog12blog11blog8blog5blog1blog10

Rangers Games and Hot Dogs

My favorite past time of summer.  Baseball.  Most importantly, the Texas Rangers.  I’ve been going to Ranger games since I can was I guess 6.  I can remember my love for all things Rangers.  Mainly Nolan Ryan and Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez.  What Texas girl wasn’t in love with Pudge?  Let me re-state that.  What Texas girl isn’t STILL in love with Pudge!  Ok, I could go on with that for ever.  I’ll spare you.

Our friends Taylor & Kyle came home last week.  Kyle is in medical school in Dominica.  I couldn’t be more proud of him, but the fact that one of my closest friends lives like a million miles away, where they don’t have cell phones, just sucks.  Yes, it sucks.  BUT, they will be home again soon, and he only has about 8 more months on the island.  That being said, they are home now.  Of course one of the first things you want to do is a Ranger game.  Corri (Taylor’s little sister) got us a suite!  Of all the Ranger games, I’ve never been to a suite and now I’m in love.

One of the reason I’m in love with suites, goes back to the title.  Hot Dogs.  While my quest to being a vegetarian is a work in progress, a Ranger game always gets the best of me.  I can go without meat for weeks, and then BAM, there’s a hot dog.  I of course just had one, so I only got off track once.  I feel ok with this, as I’m doing better this week. :)  All of this being said, here are a couple pictures from our night.

I love the Rangers…and of course Hot Dogs.blog17blog25blog35

And so the story goes…

…a little something like this.  Most of the people that read my blog know me.  Most of you have known me pretty much my whole existence.  And for the few of you that know pretty much everything about me, you have known that photography has always been a part of my life.  I’ve always known what I wanted to do, and for the last couple of years I’ve put all of that hard work into effect.  However, at times I felt very scattered.  I felt pulled from one place to the next and most of the time things didn’t get done like I wanted them done.  This being said, all of that has changed.

Over the last 4 days, a wonderful photographer by the name of Jasmine Star (www.jasminestarblog.com or www.jasmine-star.net)  did an online workshop.  Pretty much the most extensive thing that a photographer can do.  She put herself out there for all the world to see.  We saw her mistakes, we saw her vulnerability, but most of all we saw her courage.  Most people think being a photographer is the easiest job in the world.  I’m not going to lie and say it’s the hardest or dirtiest, because you don’t see us featured on the “Dirtiest Jobs” TV show, but our job is one of the most important.  I say this with confidence because I’ve been told how much people have loved my images time and time again.  All of this being said, Jasmine proved to me this week that I can do anything I put my mind too.  Yes, this something that my parents preached to me, but sometimes it takes someone who is doing the same thing as you, to show you that you can also do this.  My dreams are huge, but there is no reason I can’t reach them.

So a big shout out goes to Jasmine Star, for just being that, Jasmine Star.  It’s nice to see such a good person succeed in life.  It’s nice to know that this world isn’t full of haters (yep, I just said haters), and it’s nice to know that me being me, is a good thing.

I didn’t want to post without an image, but with the post being about Jasmine, I didn’t want to post one of my images either.  With that being said, this image below is taken by Jasmine Star.  Obviously you see the website on the image. :) So timeless and beautiful…Love Love Love.

I’ll leave the blog with this, Carpe Diem.  Get it kids…this is your life.  What are you waiting for?terraneaweddingphotos008

Lyla|3 month

How presh is Lyla?  I seems like only yesterday she was in here as a newborn…and all of a sudden I sound like I’m 90.  But for real, these babies we see grow soooo fast!  It’s crazy!  I remember my mom saying that time flies by.  As a child it didn’t seem that way, but as an adult I see what she was saying.  A week is a month before you know it.  Lyla will be 6 months around Christmas time which means you will also get to see her wonderful Mom and Dad on the next blog post about her. Enjoy!blog32blog22blog14blog52

I love big families! :)

As you can see, my blogging skills have failed me once again.  However, I’m going to try try a little harder, just like the Little Engine that could.

This wonderful family was a blessing.  They were absolutely perfect in every way.  I adore just about everyone of these pictures!   Amazing family, amazing time, amazing day.  There are no more words. :) blog31blog21blog51blog41blog61blog71blog111blog101blog91blog81blog121
